OREO Curriculum (work package 2) aim to create educational units focusing on facilitating digital literacy in usage of AI(Artificial Intelligence) controlled Chatbots. Specifically, awareness will be raised concerning the meaningful and safe use of chatbots that are controlled by AI.

Work package 2 has created a modular, safe, adaptable and scaleable learning environment that can be used in various settings, ranging from individual learning, over group learning towards learning in a class setting.

OREO Curriculum contributes to project objectives:

  • O1 support students, researchers, faculty and staff to understand the potential that the applications of AI and data use can have in education and to raise awareness of the possible risks and
  • O2 foster innovation and experimentation in the field, exploring new applications of AI, testing new approaches, and sharing findings and best practices with other institutions.

Main Results

More specifically, the ORE Curriculu, results are:

  • R1. The Course Design and Training Plan includes: (a) clear and measurable learning objectives aligned with the needs analysis during the design phase and project objectives that describe what participants will be able to do or know after completing the training; (b) the instructional design of training materials and learning methods (e.g. hands-on activities, group discussions, role-plays, board game, and others) to ensure that they are accessible, engaging, and effective.
  • R2 The Curriculum including four Teaching Units:
    • 2.1 Academic integrity and code of ethics
    • 2.2 Functionality and meaningful interaction with the chatbots
    • 2.3 Critical assessment of chatbots’ responses
    • 2.4 Safe interaction with chatbots
  • R3 OREO Board Game: An educational serious board game designed to encourage student participation in collaborative hands-on activities on campus.

  • R4 A face-to-face training programme.
  • R5 The Validation Report, which includes the assessment and evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of the training programme, the results of the evaluation and proposals for adjustments needed to improve the effectiveness of the training programme.
